Christmas time is a special time of year, full of festive celebrations and decorations. Why not take the fun to your fingernails and celebrate with fashionable, fun and festive holiday themed nail art, appropriate for all ages.
Santa Claus Nail Art
Santa Claus nail art may look challenging but can actually be completed in a few simple steps. With a light pink or neutral color, start off with a medium sized circle in the center of the nail, this will represent Santa’s face.
Next, use red polish to create an upwards triangle on the top of the circle, this will represent Santa’s hat. With white polish, at the base of the hat create the white lining, a dot at the top and a beard. Lastly, facial detailing can be added with black nail polish.
Candy Cane Nail Art
Candy cane nail art is cool, perfect for the holiday season and surprisingly simple to do. Start with a base coat of white nail polish and use a striper brush and red polish to create diagonal lines in a candy cane pattern.
Christmas Tree Nail Art
Christmas tree nail art can be completed in two simple steps. With green nail polish, start off making a triangle to cover most of the nail surface to represent the Christmas tree. Go on to make dots with colors of your choice to represent ornaments on the tree.
Snowman Nail Art
Snowman nail art is incredibly easy and requires only two colors, black and white. Using white nail polish, create three circles directly above one another, a large size, medium size and small size. These circles will represent the body of the snowman. With black nail polish, details like eyes and buttons can be added.
Holiday Lights Nail Art
Start with a base coat of a desired color. Using a striper brush and black nail polish, create horizontal lines from one side to the next to create a design that resembles a string. With contrasting colors of your choice, create dots on the lines to represent colorful light bulbs.
Snowflake Nail Art
Snowflake nails have a really cute and cool appearance and are pretty easy to complete. Start with a base coast of red or green polish. With a striper brush and white nail polish, make lines to create the snowflake design. There is no right or wrong way to do this, use your imagination and creativity.
Rudolph Nail Art
Rudolph is a fun character that can easily be painted on your nails to celebrate the holidays. In the center of the fingernail, create a circle using brown nail polish. With a striper brush create two lines on the top of the circle to represent antlers. Add two black dots for eyes and finish off with a red dot in the middle of the circle to represent Rudolph’s trademark red nose.
